Sit. Stay. Slay the Shot.

Speaker: Joan Walker

Class Description

Watch Joan Walker wrangle multiple dog models and setups—showing you how to tweak lighting, posing, and your approach for every personality in the pack. You’ll pick up tricks for reading canine body language, running low-stress, touch-free sessions, and keeping even the most spirited pups camera-ready.

Then, follow along as Joan edits live, turning good shots into drool-worthy, wall-worthy works of art. It’s equal parts shooting, behavior savvy, and post-processing magic—no treats required… okay, maybe a few.

Why You Should Attend This Session:

How to adapt your approach for different canine temperaments and energy levels.
Lighting, posing, and setup tweaks that work in real-world scenarios.
Editing workflows that take a great image from “nice” to “must-have” art.

Joan Walker

Joan Walker has been photographing dogs professionally for over 30 years—long enough to say “furever” and mean it. As the creative force behind The PAWtographers, she’s known for capturing everything from joyful splashes in the pool to skyline views to expressive studio portraits.

Her work has earned international awards, but her real gift is making dogs comfortable and showing their true personality. A sunrise chaser with a quick laugh, Joan believes the best sessions mix great lighting, genuine connection, and a touch of humor… plus a lint roller for good measure.
